How To Prepare For Nust Entry Test (NET):

National University of Science and Technology (NUST) is one of the leading university of Pakistan. And every one of us want to study from NUST. Like other university their is also a procedure to get admission in NUST. NUST conduct A test named NET to grant admission to best of the best candidates. If we want to secure admission in NUST, we must score a good number in NET. In this blog I'm gonna tell you that how one should prepare for NET and can get good marks.
First of all talk about the whole test which contains 200 Mcqs from various subject. And the NET for Engineering and computer science is something like this:
  • Math: 80 Marks
  • Physics: 60 Marks
  • Comp/Chem: 30 Marks
  • English. : 20 Marks
  • IQ : 10
Let's talk how we should prepare for this.

Mathematics:

Mathematics portion contains 80/200 marks which is 40% of total NET. To score a good number in NET we must have to score well in Mathematics. That's why Mathematics need more concern. And we should give our 40% of preparation time to maths. For this you should prepare Fsc Maths well and you must have a good grip on Math's concept. Some important topics that you have to mainly focus on are:
  1. Number System
  2. Matrices
  3. Quadratic Functions
  4. Sequence and Series
  5. Permutation Combination & Probality
  6. Trigonometric Functions and their Graphs
  7. Functions and Limits
  8. Introduction to Analytical Geometry
  9. Conic Section
  10. Vectors
You must have to prepare and focus on these topics. Learn shortcuts to solve mcqs so that you can solve maximum number of questions. For shortcuts and concept you should watch KIPS lectures and Fung & steps notes.

Physics:

Physics portion contains 60/200 marks which is 30% of total marks. So after Maths our main focus should be on physics. Again I'm saying you must have a good grip on Fsc physics topic so that you can solve any given question easily. And learn shortcuts to solve given question in minimum time. Again for shortcuts and concept you have to prepare from KIPS or steps notes and lectures. Here are some important topics of physics that you should mainly focus on:
  1. Motion and Force
  2. Work and Energy
  3. Circular Motion
  4. Oscillation
  5. Thermodynamics
  6. Electrostatics
  7. Current and Electrity
  8. Electromagnetism
  9. Electronics
  10. Dawn of Modern Physics
  11. Nuclear Physics

Computer:

Computer portion contains 30/200 mcqs. This is the easiest portion if you througly read out Ics books of computer  you can score well on this portion. You have to mainly focuse one Database, Network Communication and Basics of C++ as most of questions are asked from these topics.

English:

English portion contains 20/200 Mcqs.  To score good in this portion you  must  have a good grip on English vocabulary and grammar. You can prepare this section from OETP and Doggers books'.

IQ:

This is the last but not the least portion of NET. In this portion there are 10 questions. You can prepare this section from OETP and Doggers books' as well.

And if you need notes related to any subject that'll be provided on demand.
